A zoo, and a botanical garden too!? 😳 You might think it's just a zoo, but Fukuoka Zoo and Botanical Garden has both in the same place. Can't decide between animals and plants? Then don't choose, because here you get both, with many kinds of each.
This is a place families visit together, and it's a good fit for little ones. Talk over where to start, since with both animals and plants on site, everyone in the group should find something they like 😊
There's a gift shop on site too, so you can hunt for souvenirs 🎁 Before you go, check the calendar and the clock. Mondays are closed, the zoo runs Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00, and you can't come in after evening. Set aside about 2 to 4 hours to look around 🤔
So pick any day but Monday, head out in the morning, and see both sides of this place for yourself 🙌
Animals and plants
Many kinds of animals and many kinds of plants share this facility, which makes it both a zoo and a botanical garden. Seeing both in the same place is what makes this spot special 🌳
Good for families
This spot suits children, and families come here together 🤭 Little ones and grown-ups can each spot what catches their eye. Talk it over as a family, then decide together how you'll tour the grounds.
Check days and hours
Mondays are the closed day, so plan for Tuesday through Sunday. Hours run 9:00–17:00, and you can't come in after evening. There's no temporary or permanent closure in effect, so once you pick a date, you're all set.
