About this place
The first Universal Studios outside the US opened in Osaka!? Universal Studios Japan made its grand debut in Konohana Ward on March 31, 2001, and about 11 million people visited in its opening year. 😳 Then, in 2012, cumulative attendance topped 100 million. That’s a big milestone for a park built around stepping into movie worlds.
The park has added major themed areas over the years: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in 2014, Minion Park in 2017, and Super Nintendo World in 2021. In Minion Park, you can try Minion Hacha-Mecha Ice and Minion Hacha-Mecha Ride. Which world would you head for first? 🤩
It’s a place to experience Hollywood movie worlds, with Steven Spielberg serving as creative director. Other areas include Universal Wonderland, Hollywood Area, New York Area, Jurassic Park, and Waterworld. Pick your must-see world with your crew, then start planning your route! 🦖
